For sixty years, Missionary Temple Church of God in Christ has stood as a beacon of hope in our community. Founded in 1966, our church was built on a vision that still guides everything we do today: we exist to empower communities with the life changing message of Jesus Christ, bringing hope, healing, and purpose to every individual. Through compassionate outreach, discipleship, and service, we strive to transform lives and build a foundation of faith that uplifts families, strengthens neighborhoods, and glorifies God.
Six decades of ministry have shaped generations within these walls. We have watched children become parents, members become leaders, and a small congregation grow into a lasting legacy of faith. Through every season, our calling has remained the same: to plant the seed and trust God with the harvest. That has been the heartbeat of Missionary Temple since our founding: faithful planting, faithful watering, and a God who has never failed to give the increase.
This year, we celebrate sixty years of heritage with a weekend unlike any other. On behalf of our leader, Administrative Assistant Lavell M. Whitaker, We are calling every old face and every new face home, every person who has ever sat in these pews, served in these ministries, or been touched by this house of worship.
